Flambo the mole clown
There once was a mole, who liked to make people laugh. He was called Flambo, and he was a clown, popular up and down the country.
He had no fur, but he was lots of fun. He couldn't see, but he could feel the vibrations of people laughing, and he loved to feel it.
He had a selection of funny wigs and hats and a scarf made from dragonfly wings. His favourite thing to wear was a waistcoat with long, pink strands. Over his eyes he wore a pair of glasses with bobbly eyes on springs, so as he shook his head his fake eyes wobbled and bounced up and down, and side to side.
He had no fur, but he had three very long whiskers: one on each side of his face and one on his chin. One of his most popular tricks was to flick the end of one whisker, which would send a wave vibrating down the length of the whisker, around his nostrils and all the way along the length of the other whisker.
One day, after finishing a routine, he was relaxing in the bath and became very tired, very sleepy. His eyelids became heavy, and he drifted off to sleep. He started to dream, and he dreamt about people laughing at his jokes, laughing at his funny costumes. He started to dream up a new routine...
He could dig half a circular tunnel in the ground, and with the excavated earth, he could form half a large loop above ground - resulting in a huge donut shaped ramp. He'd get in a tiny car, and drive around the ramp doing loop the loops. He could imagine it now, the sight of him doing loop the loops in a tiny car, with his whiskers trailing in the wind, his fake eyes bobbing up and down, and a huge audience screaming with excitement and applause.
