The Bear with the Wet Nose
There once was a big, friendly bear who had a very wet nose.
It gave good luck in the afternoon to those who touched the wet nose before midday, so there was always a queue of animals happy to see the bear in the morning.
His wet nose formed drops of water which slowly fell to the ground with a gentle splash and after a while began to form puddles. Wherever the bear went, puddles formed around him.
Baby bears wearing welly boots loved jumping up and down and splashing in the puddles.
Birds loved washing in the puddles. Washing their wings, washing their legs, washing their faces.
Fish loved swimming in the puddles. Up and down and side to side.
Butterflies loved drinking water from the puddles after flying around all day from flower to flower, flower to flower, flower to flower.
All of these animals became very tired from these activities and had to go home to go to sleep...
One day the bear didn't drink enough water, and his nose was dry, not wet. All the animals were disappointed that they couldn't touch the friendly bear's nose to get good luck, and there were no puddles for the bears, birds and butterflies. They were all very sad, and the big friendly bear was sad, too, because he liked the animals touching his nose, and the baby bears splashing about in the puddles.
So, he drank a lot of water - 5 glasses and then 5 more. His nose became wet again and everyone was happy.
Stay hydrated.
The end.
